BAMSI Elevates New CFO From Within

Brockton, MA

In just over 4 years Dennis Orsinger has risen from Director to Vice President and now Chief Financial Officer at BAMSI. With over 30 years of accounting and finance experience, including work with public, private, and nonprofit corporations, Dennis has excelled at BAMSI and brought positive change to the agency. The organization is excited to see what he will accomplish in this new role.

“Dennis’ efforts to upgrade financial systems, implement best practices, and improve internal controls have put BAMSI in a better position and we are lucky to have him heading up our finance department.” explains CEO Peter Evers. “What really makes Dennis stand out, however, is that he has managed to do all of this while earning a reputation for being a great guy. He is respected and admired across the agency.”

Orsinger is a licensed CPA with an MBA in accounting from Northeastern. His career included senior roles with large publicly traded companies and privately held global enterprises before turning to nonprofit work. In 2013 Dennis became VP of Finance at the May Institute, a nonprofit that provides educational, rehabilitative and behavioral health care services to children and adults with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. He joined BAMSI in 2018.

Dennis explains, “I strongly believe in the mission of BAMSI and feel that by maximizing our resources and creating an efficient infrastructure we can divert more of our resources to the individuals trusted to our care.  I am looking forward to helping BAMSI continue the great work that we do!”

BAMSI is a private 501c3 nonprofit human service organization that helps people live more independent and healthful lives by providing a comprehensive network of services addressing developmental and intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and substance use.
